House of Holland

Henry Holland with model Agyness Deyn

Henry Holland is a fashion designer from London, England who rose to fame with his nu-rave t-shirts containing controversial slogans including "Do me in the park Marc" referring to designer, Marc Jacobs, and "I've got more than a handful for Naomi Campbell", the British supermodel.

Henry Holland started as a fashion journalist in London, when he lived with rising model Agyness Deyn. He started to make his own t-shirts using slogans referring to people in the fashion industry and for the Autumn/Winter 2007 London Fashion Week, Fashion East supported his first ever fashion show. House of Holland was born. The tops were an instant success though many people believed that they had no longevity and that he would fade into the background.

Holland was determined to prove his status in the fashion world. Fashion East funded his next show for Spring/Summer 2008 Fashion Week and he stopped the critics in their tracks. Gone, were the slogan t-shirts and what he showed was a fun, exciting 80s inspired show with maroon patent leather hotpants, tye-dye jumpsuits and black velvet shoulder-padded jackets. This second season proved that House of Holland was going to be an optimistic, feminine label that young women would love.

For his latest show, Fashion East no longer has to support House of Holland, as it is a fast growing worldwide phenomenon. He has developed a logo and had top models walking down the catwalk for him for example, Julia Dunstall, Coco Rocha and Agyness Deyn. This winter House of Holland fans will be wearing multicoloured tartan miniskirts, and even though the critics still cannot see the longevity in House of Holland, his ever changing style from t-shirts to leather to tartan show his ability to change and still relate to the young audience of London and all over the world.
